When I began reading this book, I was really distracted and annoyed by Alex's internal dialogue, and it was difficult for me to get past that. I finally did, though, and then it was very difficult to put the book down! Part urban fantasy, part mystery, part romance, the story has its hooks. As I read, I couldn't help thinking that the world the author created was unique, intriguing, and twinkling with magic. This was a fun read, and I look forward to reading Grave Dance.
