What did I think? I think that Eliza wanted what all women want. Respect. I think that [a:George Bernard Shaw|5217|George Bernard Shaw|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1271683549p2/5217.jpg] did an excellent job of portraying that, and the more I think about it, the more I liked the ending. It was abrupt. But there was really no other way he could have ended this story without making Eliza look mastered or defeated, and she was certainly neither of those things. She knew she was a woman capable of standing on her own two feet, of making her own choices, and that was exactly what this ending enabled her to continue to do.
