3.5 stars. Three stars for the story, four stars for the denouement! I liked The Mirror Crack'd, but I actually thought it went at a rather slow pace, there was a lot of repetition, a lot of red herrings, and a whole lot of getting nowhere, really. Then, in the last few pages of the book, Christie pulls out this
brilliant denouement that makes absolutely crystal clear perfect sense! All the clues were there, and, as Miss Marple said, they were so obvious that one simply couldn't see them! I lacked a deeply involved interest in this story, but I am mesmerized by the elegance of the resolution of the mystery. Just masterful!
