1.5 stars. Overall, I thought The Guilty was awful. It was filled with boozy, unsympathetic, cliched characters, the writing was slipshod, the mystery wasn't terribly interesting, and I absolutely hated the ending. I didn't even like Henry (the main character) by the end of this story! That said, no brains are required when reading this book. It is a "beach read." I've got two history books going right now, and this book was fine for when I wanted to read, but needed something (considerably) less dense than my history books. This book is fine for just relaxing with.
