The Mark (Henry Parker Novels) - Jason Pinter The Mark started off a little bit slowly, but once it took off it didn't let up! The story itself is cliche--mobsters, dirty cops, innocent guy in the wrong place at the wrong time, pretty girl who sees him for who he truly is and aids and abets him... We've all seen this story a billion times in theaters or on TV. But I don't care that this story is cliche! The Mark was exciting, blood-pounding, adrenaline-rush reading! The main characters were all sympathetic. I had a really hard time putting The Mark down, and I couldn't wait for my afternoon bus ride home so I could lose myself in the story again! This was fun reading!
