My grandparents got me this whole set of Little House books when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I never could figure out why they did that--I didn't even like Little House on the Prairie all that much! I did read the books, but I can't say that I liked them. Just wasn't my cup of tea then (I was all about mysteries), and I'm not sure it would be my cup of tea now. Although I'm sure I'd find more value in these works now than I did when I was 10.
