This was a very good book and it is a very original addition to vampire literature. It had great horror and sci-fi aspects to it, and it did a fantastic job of really exploring the depths of human emotion and human life. The only complaint I have is that part of the reading seems to have been accidentally omitted from this recording (or at least it was on my copy). I think it was a section of the story in which Robert makes some important discoveries, but the omission did not dampen my enjoyment of the book. I loved the book from beginning to end.
