I do not give five stars to adult books lightly, and I always measure them against what is, to my mind, the most perfect book,
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Soulless is nothing like Huckleberry Finn, aside from the keen wit of what is clearly a very sharp author, but I still *loved* this book! The main characters were completely engaging, the story was compelling, and I was amazed at how many generes were represented by this book! In addition, the author's style was fresh and vivacious, and I truly appreciated how beautifully she crafted her Victorian world, while somehow making it mesh perfectly with modern sensibilities. I did not want to put this one down, and I was sad when things like work and sleep compelled me to do so. I can't wait to start reading
Changeless!
