Anatole and the Cat - Eve Titus, Paul Galdone (Illustrator) My niece and I liked this story. I'm not sure what made it so endearing to us, but at the end of the book we were both grinning like a couple of fools. The illustrations were great, and the story was... uplifting, I guess is the word I want. Anatole is a brave little mouse, and we just enjoyed how he didn't let something as brutish as a cat interfere with his life.
