My niece, nephew, and I all really enjoyed The Wolves are Back! My nephew was excited by all the pictures of the wolves, and my niece became very interested in how the wolves' return to the ecosystem at Yellowstone helped to restore the balance of nature.The illustrations in this book are gorgeous. Both kids remarked on the beauty of the illustrations, and with the turn of numerous pages I got a breathless "wow," from one or the other of them.
The prose in this book is concise enough to hold on to a child's ear as the pictures hold their eyes. The story is told in a non-preachy but informative way, with the end result being a beautiful, interesting book that kids can appreciate.
