I
loved nursery rhymes when I was a child, and I had billions of them memorized. I really didn't think it was possible to enjoy nursery rhymes any more than I did (do?), but that's because I'd never seen this book by
Jack Kent. This guy is
funny! The illustrations that he has coupled with the nursery rhymes in this book totally transform the meaning of some of these little rhymes, and more than once I laughed out loud. I hate to call this book hysterical, because that might seem weird coming from a 40 year old woman, but it was hysterical! Oh, and the kids thought so, too! Just loved it!
